Cherry Valley Riders is most noted for our devotion to trail riding and our appreciation for the great outdoors. Throughout the year we do our best to schedule trail rides in various locations and of varying degrees of challenge. It is fun to challenge our seasoned riders and yet maintain a number of rides that all people of all abilities can enjoy. We enlist the help of members to gauge rides using a number system from 1-10 designating the degree of difficulty. We have never come home without anyone yet! We have a good group of horse campers and welcome you to join us. All members are welcome and encouraged to lead rides or suggest camp spots in their area of interest and knowledge. Other fun activities include participating in local parades and opening ceremonies at rodeos. Our weekends spent at the Darrington and Ellensburg Rodeos have always been a fun time that is well attended. Summer fun includes a series of casual Playdays at the Fall City Arena. Playdays are made up of timed patterned riding events for a little friendly competition. Classes are geared to all ages and abilities. We do our best to provide classes for the more serious competitor and fun classes for those who want to relax and do just that. Have Fun! Playday Flyer
CVR offers an award program especially for trail riders. Pins are awarded annually for those riders who have reached 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 cumulative hours. Documentation of the hours logged are sent to King and Snohomish County Parks and Recreation, Trail Division annually. This is one way of helping to let them know which trails are being used by equestrians and provides incentive for keeping those trails open. The rules are simple.
